Conference in Tampa aims to raise profile of clean, plant-based fuel


When the National Biodiesel Board held its first nationwide conference in 2006, it was like the California Gold Rush — almost 4,000 people flocked to the convention hoping to get in on the latest fuel trend. The fuel created with plant-based oils and recycled cooking oils got a lot of attention for its clean production and its promise to severely limit the amount of carbon pollution spewing into the air.
