Starting Wednesday, some fuel blends will cost consumers less at the pump. The typical state tax on a gallon of diesel fuel is 32.5 cents per gallon, but a three-cent tax exemption for diesel blends containing 11 percent or more biodiesel, kicks in on July 1st. That exemption lasts for five years, and it’s part of the same law that increased the state fuel tax by 10 cents earlier this year.
