Jakarta. United Tractors — a subsidiary of Astra International — and Scania showcased the Swedish manufacturer’s latest double- cabin bus to Jakarta government officials on Thursday, marking efforts by the Nordic company to expand into Indonesia.
The Scania Euro 6 double-cabin bus was shown to Jakarta Deputy Governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama and reporters in on Thursday as a possible option to replace the existing TransJakarta buses.
“This bus has a sustainable travel concept and is ready to support Jakarta citizens and their highly mobile activities,” according to a press statement by Scania and United Tractors on Thursday.
