President Barack Obama in his State of the Union address Tuesday called on Washington to pursue bipartisan solutions for climate change to protect future generations.
Anne Steckel, vice president of federal affairs at the National Biodiesel Board, commended President Obama for his continued focus on climate and said the biodiesel industry is poised to play a growing role in cutting greenhouse gas emissions.
“Biodiesel is a practical, cost-effective and bipartisan solution that's here today to address this problem,” Steckel said. “President Obama has already proven his strong support for American-made renewable fuels, and we think there is tremendous potential for increasing the role our industry can play.”
