In Australia, Ashoil is looking to double its biofuel production next year to 20,000 liters per week, partly based on oil from a trial growing moringa trees. The company processes waste cooking oil from Rio Tinto’s mining camps and then supplies the biodiesel back to Rio Tinto for its drill and blast operations at the Tom Price mine. Moringa has been introduced since cooking oil supplies are limited.
