Milhares de quilos de gordura usada roubada dos restaurantes

(Notícia em Inglês)
Few would ever want to see the greasy runoff from their pizzas or burgers, let alone steal 4,000 pounds of the stuff.

But that's exactly what happened at six Lincoln restaurants, where Lincoln Police Capt. Michon Morrow said hundreds of dollars worth of used cooking grease was stolen recently.

Morrow said it's unclear why the thieves stole around 700 pounds of grease from each of the six restaurants, but some businesses buy used grease for use as biodiesel fuel. Morrow said each restaurant's grease was probably worth around $100 or $150, for a total of $600 to $900.

The thieves took grease from Pizza Hut, 2662 Cornhusker Highway; Taco Bell, 4502 O St.; Dairy Queen, 8510 Bowman Drive; Arby's, 8555 Andermatt Drive; Wendy's, 1721 N. 84th St.; and Pizza Hut, 2340 N. 48th St.
